About the Artist

As a child I loved to draw and experiment with different media. I majored in commercial art in college but my first job as a newspaper layout artist did not allow for creativity. So I decided to go a different route. After spending years working in the retail industry then in the legal and financial sectors, I decided to go back to my first love in retirement. I like to paint the places I've been to and to try to have the viewer feel that they are there too. The light and vistas here in NM have provided lots of subject matter. I plan to expand my knowledge by trying new techniques and mediums and taking more classes. There is always so much to learn!
